Blog: “What will it take to make the playoffs?”

With all 12 WNBA teams in action tonight, it is important to know where the Chicago Sky stand with regards to their playoff aspirations. Here’s a great breakdown from one of my favorite new blogs, She-Cago Sports (…actually, I’m not sure if it’s new, but it’s new to me :-))

The Chicago Sky have to do what they haven’t done this season in order to go where they’ve never gone before. In other words, they have to win consistently on the road if they want to make their first ever WNBA playoffs, and even then, they may need a little help. (Read more…)

Three teams (Sky, Dream and Liberty) are battling it out for 2 playoff spots. The author breaks down the remaining schedules in an attempt to assess the Sky’s chances of making the playoffs.

It’s a great read and gives lots of good info regarding matchups down the stretch. I don’t know that I agree with the author that the Sky have the most difficult remaining schedule of the 3 teams. The Sky, however, are playing the most road games (4 of their last 5 games are away from Allstate Arena). If they can get some wins on the road, they’ll put themselves in a good position to make the postseason.
